There was not one day I was not excited by how we were challenged. The PGLI program was like no other.- Adriana Clarke, PGLI alumna from Australia and Paralegal at Canberra Legal Group, Australia -
Unlike most leadership programs, PGLI doesn’t adopt the therapeutic approach. It provokes your potentials and equips you with critical tools that match a complex world.- Mahmoud Abouelnaga, PGLI alum from Egypt and Petroleum Engineer at Frac/Acid Op, Halliburton -

3. A positive public diplomatic effort. 91% of our participants rate this experience as the most formative experience of their lives and consistently express astonishment that a US-led leadership and Macedonian-supported Foundation can be so globally oriented and could be spearheading such international cooperation.

Our MISSION

PGLI is an educational non-profit dedicated to changing the paradigm of leadership through intensive cultural exchanges. We place an emphasis on utilizing different perspectives — particularly differences of nationality, religion, race, gender and professional focus.[expander_maker more=”Read more” less=”Read less”]

The belief is that to cultivate a more effective generation of global leaders, aspiring public servants must have an oppositional mind, know how to communicate behind their parochial networks, and understand both the domestic and global political landscapes. Our mission is to prepare leaders adapt to the kinetic force of change present on the world stage. PGLI leaders are trained to challenge the paradigm of an increasingly ineffective leadership at play with the vision, judgement, humility, character and empathic curiosity about the people around them.

How are we DIFFERENT

Top-level professors teach intensive academic courses and then oversee leadership simulations. Core faculty members are selected not just for their expertise, but also for their proven ability to teach and mentor. Each professor must eat meals with students and provide individualized feedback on the performances of the delegates. They spend 12-16 hours a day working with the students.

THEORY AND PRACTICE

PGLI is a unique institute because it combines academic lectures with practical simulations. Typical institutes have four simulations that are products of the short courses taught by each of the core faculty members. This method is grounded in the principal that practice without scholastic background is uninformed, and academic theory without effective execution is meaningless.
